Wow we have so many fun sessions to blog! Once again, I've gotten WAY behind on keeping up the blog!

Photography Workshop

I had the most amazing workshop with Vanessa Rae last Saturday. I'm still trying to process everything I learned and going over it in my brain so I won't forget it. If you love photography and you have a chance to take a workshop from her, DO IT. You won't regret it. Here are a couple of the images I've had a chance to edit. I am going to post more but we've been busy trying to edit for some clients that are waiting for their images.

On a Personal Note...

Our babies are growing up so fast! They share a birthday week, which just happens to be this week! (Well, Sadie's was Saturday, she turned 8, and Cydnie's was Tuesday, she turned 6.) These crazy girls are so much fun. They're getting so grown up! *sniff.

In honor of their birthday we took them out for a little photo shoot. To our favorite spot - you probably recognize it. It's just down the road so it made it a LITTLE easier to lug 400 things around. There are more from this session that I love and maybe I'll share some more another day.

I sure think these are some beautiful kids. Don't know how they ended up with me! :)

Anderson Family

This was a special shoot for me - very amazing people that I get to call family. I have always enjoyed their company and especially thier sense of humor. Spending time together at their session and hearing them tease each other was so much fun. Their love for each other is obvious and infectious! Since this photoshoot, Brad, the head of this family has undergone brain surgery to remove a tumor and is expected to have a long recovery ahead of him. Everyone in this family could really use some prayers in their behalf.

I'm thinking of you guys and praying that Brad will have a quick recovery!!

Shelby {Utah Senior Photographer}

Shelby is another amazing senior we got to photograph this year. It was an especially fun session for me because she was getting an exciting email from a missionary friend during the shoot and it made me so nostalgic! Although we didn't have the same line of communication, I remember having those exact feelings making plans for Morgan to call me on Mother's Day too. (Both Shelby's friend and Morgan had permission from their Mission Presidents to give one extra call. :) ) I hadn't thought about that in a long time and it made me smile to see her talk about him and remember those same feelings.

Shelby has great dreams for her life and has a good (and beautiful) head on her shoulders. She loves soccer and fitness - she competed in the Miss Uintah contest this Spring and did amazing. I wish you all the luck and success in the world, Shelby and congratulations on your graduation!!

Seniors are hands-down some of my favorite photo sessions. This one was no exception! Erika is beautiful, inside and out and she has the most likeable personality! She is easy-going, down-to-earth and has such an easy laugh. Plus she has a focused plan of what she is going to be and plans in place to achieve her dreams. I love that so much! She and her mom made our session so enjoyable that we shot til it was dark and cold outside!

This family is amazing. Such amazing parents to their little miracle daughter, Riley, who is full of energy. Riley is so much fun - she kept us laughing the whole time! This family also strikes a special cord with me because of their story. This family is a family because of the miracle of adoption. I almost broke into tears myself when Karen relayed their story. I have a brother and a sister who are both adopted and I can't imagine not having them as part of my family. I'm so grateful for adoption.

Gosh I always get the pictures on here and draw a complete blank on what to say about them even though I have so much to say! Hillary is one of my oldest and dearest friends. We cooked together and laughed together and failed classes together. (Ha! You're welcome, Hillary!) I still have a note from high school that she wrote me when I was in the middle of a decision that in fact did affect the rest of my life. It says, "Everything will work out the way it is supposed to." And you know what? She was absolutely right.

And Hill, I believe it applies to you as well.
